How many times have your heard that this week?

Let’s start with New Year- New Goals…perhaps same goals? New Year- Awesomer Me?

I’VE GOT IT!

New Year- and there’s only one ME!

If you have a new mindset or personal goals, here are some self-care ways you can build on those.

1. Write down your goals.

“Write it out until what hurt you heals.”

Each day has a short entry, and it’s perfect to write down my goals and keep myself on track. Throughout the years, I’ll be able to see how I’ve progressed and how my goals/ideals have changed! I recommend journals or agendas, as well. Agendas tend to be great for every day organization.

2. Mediation.

Every morning I meditate in prayer towards the sunrise alone. This is something new I’ve started doing this year. Setting aside time to meditate and pray over my life, my family, my day, etc. really helps me achieve a clear mindset heading into my day. My mind may be already working towards anxiety as soon as I get out of bed, but if I give myself a moment of peace, it helps. Meditation apps like Calm and Headspace are great for guided meditation. If you want to get lost in silence, music, etc. try YouTube channels like this one to find something that fits you!

3. Give yourself time you NEED.

“A little progress each day adds up to big results.” -unknown

Whether that’s recovery, sleep or a workout at the gym, stay true to you. YOU DO YOU. If you need a night where you can just relax and enjoy what serves you. It’s okay, do what makes you feel at peace. Taking a break for one day is not going to set you back. Baby steps. Slow and steady wins the race. These old sayings stand true when it comes to accomplishing what you would like to. Burnout can come on quick. Go at YOUR PACE. You’ll get there, I promise.

4. Remember how amazing you are.

You got this. It may be a tough journey, but I can only imagine how amazing you’re going to come out on the other side. I am so proud of you already. Remember to stay true to yourself. You do you, and you will always be successful.

Although we all have goals, stay true to yourself. Through and through there is only one you, and that’s what’s most important. You have something to offer the world that no one else does. Never forget that.
